Beautiful Cameron spent a fun day in our Benton, LA studio recently. This precious baby made her grand entrance to the world just a few weeks before Christmas. Cameron is the first baby of the family, and is oh so loved already! It is always so fun to see the joy and excitement surrounding the birth of a first baby.
Sweet Cameron is a great reminder that baby girls don’t have to be photographed in all pinks and purples. Most of Cameron’s set ups were done in neutral colors that will blend well on any wall in the family’s home. I love creating interesting set ups through layering techniques and textured blankets or props. The neutral colors let Cameron shine through as the focus of the portraits. Simplicity and neutrality help create a look that is both timeless and classic. The creams, browns, and pops of burgundy all came together beautifully.
An heirloom blanket was also used to create a sentimental feel for Cameron’s portraits. The red blanket you see photographed was created by Cameron’s grandmother, as a gift for Cameron’s mother when she was just a baby! Grandmothers hold a special place in children’s hearts. I hope that one day when Cameron is all grown up, she can look at these portraits and feel a sense of love that has been passed down to her from two generations of loving women.
